Після кілометрів доріг перед нами відкрився краєвид річки Ред Дір. Ми відразу зупинилися і побігли вниз, щоб сфотографувати цю прекрасну річку.
After kilometers of roads, a view of the Red Deer River opened before us. We immediately stopped and ran down to photograph this beautiful river.
Щоб ви теж могли захопитися красою, ми додамо невеликий фрагмент відео з цього мальовничого місця.
So that you too can admire the beauty, we will add a small fragment of the video from this picturesque place.
Поступово довкола почали зростати гори. А озера, оточені стадами корів, радували нас своїм виглядом.
Gradually mountains began to grow around. And the lakes, surrounded by herds of cows, pleased us with their appearance.
Міст через річку Ред Дір привернув нашу увагу. Ми зупинили машину та пішки перейшли цю інженерну конструкцію. На зворотному шляху ми перетнемо його ще раз. Але про це згодом.
The bridge over the Red Deer River caught our attention. We stopped the car and crossed this engineering structure on foot. On the way back we will cross it again. But about that later.
Рекламні борди розповіли нам, що крім ведмедів Грізлі, тут можна зустріти і Бігфута. Ця новина нас зацікавила, але, на жаль, ми його не побачили.
Advertising boards told us that in addition to grizzly bears, you can also meet Bigfoot here. We were interested in this news, but, unfortunately, we did not see him.
Дорога почала різко підніматися вгору і невдовзі ми потрапили на оглядовий майданчик, з якого відкривався неймовірний вид на долину річки Ред Дір. Величезний камінь лежав там, начебто спеціально для романтичних фотографій.
The road began to rise sharply and soon we reached an observation deck with an incredible view of the Red Deer River Valley. A huge stone was lying there, as if specially for romantic photos.
Зупинилися між горами, щоб прочитати інформацію на борді. Добрі люди попереджали нас, що попереду ми опинимося на шляху бізонів, якщо їх переганятимуть у цей час.
We stopped between the mountains to read the information on the board. The good people warned us that we would be in the path of bison ahead if they migrated at this time.
Під горою, де багато дерев обгоріло, ми обговорили пожежі в Британській Колумбії і рушили далі.
Under the mountain, where many trees were burned, we discussed the fires in British Columbia and moved on.
І ось ми дісталися Бігхорн Кемпграунда. Виявилось, що таке місце ми відвідуємо вперше. Це кемп, куди туристи приїжджають зі своїми кіньми.
And so we got to Bighorn Campground. It turned out that we are visiting such a place for the first time. This is a camp where tourists come with their horses.
Спеціально для тих, хто в Альберті мешкає недовго, ми сфотографували правила поведінки на територіях, де мешкають ведмеді Грізлі.
Especially for those who live in Alberta for a short time, we have photographed the rules of behavior in the territories where grizzly bears live.
А тут буде несподіваний поворот сюжету: ми вирушили вгору, щоб відвідати водоспад Bighorn. Але нереальна спека в 30 градусів Цельсія і гравій, що сипиться з-під ніг, змусили нас задуматися: чи варто йти далі? Це не вперше, коли ми, перебуваючи біля ключової точки подорожі, ставимо собі таке запитання. І якщо ми не зможемо повторити цю поїздку (наприклад, ми на Сицилії і завтра відлітаємо додому), то ми долаємо внутрішній опір і йдемо до мети. А якщо відвідування можливе і природа навколо нас подобається, то ми залишаємо відвідування цієї пам'ятки наступного разу. Ось вам фото брусниці з тієї стежки, куди ми обов'язково повернемося пізніше.
And here there will be an unexpected plot twist: we went to the top to visit the Bighorn waterfall. But the unrealistic heat of 30 degrees Celsius and gravel falling from under our feet made us think: is it worth going further? This is not the first time we have asked ourselves this question when we are near a key point of the journey. And if we cannot repeat this trip (for example, we are in Sicily and we fly home tomorrow), then we overcome internal resistance and go to the goal. And if a visit is possible and we like the nature around, then we leave a visit to this attraction for the next time. Here is a photo of lingonberries from that trail, where we will definitely return later.
Ми повернулися до кемпграунду і вирішили дослідити його докладно. Спочатку ми побачили конячку прив'язану до вантажівки.
We returned to the campground and decided to explore it in detail. First we saw a horse tied to a truck.
Класичне місце для відпочинку з кіньми виглядає так: місце для трейлера, стіл, вогнище, годівниця для коней.
The classic place for rest with horses looks like this: a place for a trailer, a table, a fire pit, a horse feeder.
Ясла для вівса є біля кожного місця для трейлера.
There is a manger for oats near each trailer location.
Групи вершників проїжджали повз нас то тут, то там.
Groups of riders passed us here and there.
Всюди на Кемпі паслися конячки. І всі вони були чудові.
There were horses grazing everywhere on the Camp. And they were all wonderful.
Ми на прощання сфотографували одну з конячек і вирушили додому.
We took a goodbye photo of one of the horses and went home.
Краєвиди на шляху додому були такими ж фантастичними. Дякую тобі Альберто, дякую тобі Канадо, за таку красу!
The scenery on the way home was just as fantastic. Thank you Alberta, thank you Canada, for such beauty!
Як завжди, погода швидко змінювалася, прилітали важкі хмари, але ми все одно зупинялися та фотографували природу Альберти.
As usual, the weather changed quickly, heavy clouds flew in, but we still stopped and photographed the nature of Alberta.
Виток річки Ред Дір – це річка Пантера. Ось тут ми прощаємося з мальовничою Пантерою, бо далі вона стає частиною річки Ред Дір.
The source of the Red Deer River is the Panther River. Here we say goodbye to the picturesque Panther, because further on it becomes part of the Red Deer River.
Ми доїхали до того мосту через Ред Дір, що згадували раніше і переїхали дерев'яним помостом. Повернули ліворуч та опинилися на території денного користування, де для відвідувачів були столи, тераса та туалети. А от людей не було зовсім. Ми дістали свій пікнік і розклали його з видом на річку.
We reached that bridge over Red Deer that we mentioned earlier and crossed over a wooden platform. We turned left and found ourselves in the day-use area, where there were tables, a terrace and toilets for visitors. But there were no people at all. We got our picnic and laid it out overlooking the river.

I went ashore to photograph the wooden bridge from the other side
У вікні машини ми встигли помітити гарну скелю, яка розрізала водну течію Ред Діра навпіл. Ми розвернулися і незважаючи на вечір, що наближається, вирішили прогулятися берегом.
In the car window, we managed to notice a beautiful cliff that cut the water current of Red Deer in half. We turned around and despite the approaching evening, we decided to take a walk along the shore.
Фотографія на річці у променях вечірнього сонця це завжди добре.
A photo on the river in the rays of the evening sun is always good.
Окремою пригодою з нашої подорожі ми вважаємо вихід мустангу з лісу нам назустріч. Гордий кінь з лютим виразом очей був готовий кинутися в битву з нами, тому ми обережно об'їхали його і довго обговорювали відмінності в долі домашніх коней і диких.
A separate adventure from our journey, we consider the exit of the mustang from the forest to meet us. A proud horse with a fierce expression in his eyes was ready to rush into battle with us, so we cautiously rode around him and discussed for a long time the differences in the fate of domestic horses and wild ones.
Ми ненадовго попрощалися з такою шедевральною річкою, як Ред Дір, і направили наш автомобіль у бік нашого містечка.
We briefly said goodbye to such a masterpiece river as Red Deer and directed our car towards our town.
